Spring Has Sprung

We've finally had a week of really warm temps here in Atlanta. The bumblebees are out in force, the trees have all bloomed and even the bulb plants are starting to come up.

Last night we went out to Home Depot and bought some cherry tomato plants, one cucumber plant, one red pepper plant and 9 little green pepper plants. We stopped by Firehouse Subs on the way home and bought 4 of their 5 gallon pickle buckets for $2 each (all of the money goes to the Fireman's fund).

Today Jazzy and I planted one plant in each bucket and hung them from the posts on our fence out back. This way the dogs won't be able to get to the plants and they are high enough for me to take care of them easily.

Hopefully they will grow well because I'm tired of paying $4 each for red peppers!
