Worried about Homeschooling? Not me!

We're getting closer to sending in our Declaration Of Intent (to homeschool) to the county. I've got it ready, printed and sitting on the kitchen counter, just waiting to be signed and mailed. Tonight I had a discussion with Chris to make sure that he and I both feel like this is still the right decision for Jazz and for our family. I wanted to make sure that he felt like I was doing a good job with what I've been focusing on so far. His response was to just compare Jazz to other children her age and that will pretty much give me my answer.

To prove me right, when we sat down to read Jazzy's bedtime chapter tonight (we're on the second read through of the Harry Potter series) she read the majority of the chapter to me. She corrected herself when she mispronounced words, and even self-corrected for punctuation.

I think I'll be sending that letter in. I'm doing just fine.
